A short situation report

My hobbyrelated activities have been suspended since autumn 2003. This is mainly due to moving from Åkersberga north of Stockholm to Haninge south of Stockholm. It took some time arranging the sale of the house and then buying something new, apart from all the time spent on the actual move.

My computer has been shut down from mid May 2004 to August 2004, then all these hackers and crackers started to mess up my life. There has been a lot of computer viruses and other attacks, quite often via the guest book on my web-page and the web hotel it was hosted on ( I do hope that you haven’t had any troubles in case you visited the web-page). The guest book was terminated in September 2004.

My internet access “crashed” in the beginning of September, despite Norton antivirus. One week later I had a short-circuit in the computers power supply with sparks, smoke and blown fuses. Since then a number of attempts at restoring the computer have been made, finally we found viruses in the BIOS itself.

This Easter (2005) I finally got my computer back in operating condition, most of the parts had been replaced, since I’m not at “computer guru” myself I’m dependent on others to help me out. I find the Internet Cafés slightly nauseating so that hasn’t been an option either.

My hobby production has finally started to get going this year. A number of old moulds have to be renovated or replaced since they are worn out. On the positive side there are some news as well, for instance a Volvo Pv810/824 ambulance, a trailer for buses for lefthand traffic and a Volvo Pv832 van. It vill also to be two types of Volvo Duett.

The web-page has also been “resting” so it needs a thorough overhaul, hopefully this can get done this sommer.
